About the Event
The Writers’ Lab is a chance for you to connect with other writers while exploring craft and testing new work in a safe, supportive environment. These monthly labs provide an inclusive space, a keyboard and a small audience of peers to test out your material. The series will be guided by practising artists and professional writers: Luke Di Somma, Lucy O’Brien, Casey Gould and Loclan Mackenzie-Spencer. Participants will share work and receive feedback from the group in a collaborative environment led by the facilitator. It’s a great space to learn from your peers, try something new and develop your work.
The Labs are open to practising MT writers: bookwriters, lyricists, composers. There is an expectation of some prior knowledge or experience in one of these creative disciplines so that all participants can fully benefit from feedback and discussion of the work. Please do get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or are wondering if this series is right for you.
Please note – every participant may not get to present work at each lab. This is a space to share and learn from others and the group may decide to spend time delving into a particular work or tackling a specific issue with the facilitator adjusting as needed.
Cost: $20 per session or $65 for the initial series of 4. This fee allows us to cover the cost of the room and the facilitator’s time.

These Labs are run regularly to help grow the participants' work over a period of time, therefore we encourage you to sign up for the series to get the most out of them.
